Introduction
The National Empowerment Fund is looking for an ESD Support Specialist to join the Socio-Economic Development and Asset Management team.
Job description
- Provide support to the ESD team in terms of:
- Reports writing;
- Basic research;
- Drafting of minutes;
- High level ESD partnership generation;
- Coordinate and act as a secretariat for the steering committee;
- Business development and prepare progress reports;
- Provide support to coordinator and Investment Principal and ESD team;
- Assist with ESD information collation.
Minimum requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification
Experience / Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years clear understanding of the social facilitation processes and dynamics in South Africa;
- Experience in Socio Economic Development is a requisite;
- Background understanding of the South African socio-economic dynamics in various economic sectors and different industries;
- Understanding of the Development funding institution space;
- Understanding of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act of 2005 and Code of Good Practice and other related government policies;
- Understanding of the functions of government structures;
- Experience in proposal preparation and presentation;
- Experience in fund raising and investment mobilisation;
- Experience in market identification and linkages.
